Term Definition
biodiesel Home heating fuel, comprised partly (B20) or wholley (B100) of organic oil. Usually soy based, but often containing recycled vegetable and industrial cooking oils.
boiler The unit which produces hot water for home heating.
furnace The unit which produces heated air for home heating.

also fuel oil
Processed petroleum product safe to use and store in residential areas.
nozzle The part of the oil burner which atomizes oil so it can burn.
oil burner The area of the furnace or boiler in which combustion takes place.
radiant in-floor heating Warm water is circulated through tubes beneath the floor to warm rooms without the need for space consuming radiators.
